The Apex Ammo ED12S-67 12 Gauge 2.75" 1oz 6/7 Stratified Shotshells are premium hunting loads designed for dove, quail, and other upland game birds. This advanced load features Apex’s patented stratified shot technology, combining both #6 and #7 shot sizes in a single shell. With a 1-ounce payload in a standard 2-3/4" hull, the ED12S-67 delivers exceptional pattern density, clean kills, and reduced recoil, making it an outstanding choice for high-volume dove hunting and fast-flying upland birds.
Why Choose Apex Ammo ED12S-67 Stratified Shotshells?
Traditional dove loads typically use a single shot size, which can result in either too much recoil or insufficient pattern density at varying ranges. The Apex ED12S-67 solves this issue by utilizing stratified 6/7 shot technology. By layering #6 and #7 pellets together, this load provides the dense core of smaller #7 shot for close-range targets combined with the superior downrange energy and penetration of larger #6 shot. The result is more consistent breaks, fewer lost birds, and better overall performance in the field. The 1-ounce payload strikes an excellent balance between pattern coverage and manageable recoil, allowing hunters to shoot comfortably throughout long dove hunts.

Performance and Build Quality
The Apex Ammo ED12S-67 12 Gauge Stratified Shotshells are manufactured using premium components and advanced loading techniques. The stratified shot column is carefully engineered to ensure proper distribution of #6 and #7 pellets, resulting in tight, uniform patterns that excel at breaking doves and upland birds at both close and moderate ranges. This technology helps eliminate the pattern gaps often found in conventional single-size loads while providing enough pellet energy for clean, ethical harvests. The 1-ounce payload and moderate velocity keep recoil very manageable, allowing hunters to maintain accuracy and comfort during fast-paced dove shoots. Apex Ammunition’s attention to detail in wad design and powder selection ensures reliable function and consistent performance in a wide variety of conditions and shotguns.
