The Apex Ammo ED20S-67 20 Gauge 2.75" 3/4oz 6/7 Stratified Shotshells are premium hunting loads designed specifically for 20 gauge shotguns. This advanced load features Apex’s patented stratified shot technology, combining both #6 and #7 shot sizes in a single shell. With a 3/4-ounce payload in a standard 2-3/4" hull, the ED20S-67 delivers excellent pattern density, clean kills, and very manageable recoil, making it an outstanding choice for dove hunting, quail, and other upland game birds.
Why Choose Apex Ammo ED20S-67 20 Gauge Stratified Shotshells?
Many hunters choose 20 gauge shotguns for their lighter weight, faster handling, and significantly reduced recoil compared to 12 gauge. However, finding a 20 gauge load that offers both excellent pattern density and reliable terminal performance on fast-moving birds has traditionally been difficult. The Apex ED20S-67 solves this challenge with its innovative stratified 6/7 shot column. By layering #6 and #7 pellets together, this load provides the dense core of smaller #7 shot for close-range targets combined with the superior downrange energy and penetration of larger #6 shot. The result is more consistent breaks and higher harvest rates, all while maintaining the comfortable recoil profile that makes 20 gauge so popular for high-volume shooting.

Performance and Build Quality
The Apex Ammo ED20S-67 20 Gauge Stratified Shotshells are manufactured using premium components and advanced loading techniques. The stratified 6/7 shot column is carefully engineered to ensure proper distribution of #6 and #7 pellets, resulting in tight, uniform patterns that excel at breaking doves and upland birds at typical hunting distances. This technology helps eliminate the pattern gaps often found in conventional single-size loads while providing enough pellet energy for clean, ethical harvests. The light 3/4-ounce payload keeps recoil very low, allowing hunters to shoot comfortably and accurately during fast-paced dove shoots or long days pursuing quail. Apex Ammunition’s attention to detail in wad design and powder selection ensures consistent velocities and reliable function across a wide variety of 20 gauge shotguns.
