The AR57 ULT Upper Assembly 5.7x28 (AR57ULT-12) is a high-performance upper receiver assembly designed to convert any standard AR-15 lower receiver into a 5.7x28mm platform. This complete upper assembly allows shooters to enjoy the high-velocity, low-recoil benefits of the 5.7x28mm cartridge while using the familiar ergonomics and controls of the AR-15 platform. With a 12-inch barrel and compatibility with FN P90-style magazines, the AR57 ULT upper offers a unique and versatile shooting experience.
Why Choose the AR57 ULT 5.7x28 Upper Assembly?
The AR57 ULT Upper Assembly stands out as one of the most popular and reliable ways to shoot 5.7x28mm ammunition from an AR-15 lower. Unlike traditional 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington uppers, this assembly is specifically engineered to feed, fire, and extract the high-velocity 5.7x28mm cartridge. The 12-inch barrel provides an excellent balance between velocity and overall length, delivering impressive ballistic performance while maintaining a compact and maneuverable profile. This upper is ideal for shooters looking for reduced recoil, high magazine capacity, and the ability to use readily available P90 magazines.

Performance and Versatility
The AR57 ULT Upper Assembly 5.7x28 transforms a standard AR-15 into a high-capacity, low-recoil platform. The 5.7x28mm cartridge is known for its high velocity and relatively flat trajectory, making it well-suited for target shooting, varmint hunting, and home defense. Because it uses P90-style magazines, shooters can enjoy 50-round capacity without the bulk of traditional drum magazines. The 12-inch barrel maximizes the performance of the 5.7x28mm round while keeping the firearm compact and easy to handle.
This upper assembly is particularly popular among shooters who want the benefits of the 5.7x28mm cartridge without purchasing an entirely new firearm. By simply swapping the upper on an existing AR-15 lower, users gain access to a completely different shooting experience. The AR57 ULT is also favored for its smooth operation and reduced recoil, allowing for rapid, accurate follow-up shots during range sessions or training drills.
