This is a current issue Bulgarian muzzle brake manufactured by Arsenal of Bulgaria. It is an effective unit designed to reduce the recoil forces of an AK type rifle while shooting. It is designed for and used on several Bulgarian Arsenal rifles both in 7.62x39 and 5.56x45 calibers. It has the standard 14x1mm left-hand threads and is hard chrome lined. The external diameter is designed to accept the ring of the bayonet allowing the shooter to attach a bayonet to the rifle. The unit is symmetrical in design and has 2 locking notches on the opposite sides allowing a tight fit on the rifle.
