Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Power Wag 9" Scuppernong Blue Fleck – Premium Scented Ribbon Tail Worm

The Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Power Wag 9" Scuppernong Blue Fleck (1511707) is a high-performance soft plastic worm that combines Berkley’s advanced MaxScent technology with a proven magnum ribbon tail design. This 9-inch worm is specifically engineered to attract bass from greater distances while delivering superior hook-setting performance. The Scuppernong Blue Fleck color is a dark, natural purple-black shade with blue flake that excels in stained water, low-light conditions, and when targeting bass around heavy cover.

Berkley’s MaxScent formula represents the next generation of scented soft plastics. Unlike traditional PowerBait, MaxScent releases a powerful scent cloud that lasts significantly longer and disperses more effectively through the water. This increased scent output helps bass locate the bait faster and hold onto it longer, dramatically improving hook-up ratios. The Power Wag’s large 9-inch profile and wide, undulating tail create a strong presence in the water, making it an excellent choice for targeting bigger bass in both clear and stained conditions.

Why Choose the Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Power Wag 9" Scuppernong Blue Fleck?

The Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Power Wag stands out from traditional soft plastic worms because of its superior scent technology. While many worms rely only on visual appeal and action, the MaxScent formula actively draws bass in by releasing a powerful scent trail that lingers in the water column. This is especially effective in stained or murky water where visibility is limited, as well as in clear water when bass are feeding by scent.

The Scuppernong Blue Fleck color is a proven producer across the country, particularly in the Southeast and Midwest. Its dark profile creates a strong silhouette in stained water, while the blue flake adds flash and attraction in varying light conditions. The 9-inch size gives this worm a significant presence that can trigger strikes from larger bass that may ignore smaller baits. The ribbon tail creates a wide, rolling action that displaces water and produces vibration, helping bass locate the bait even when they cannot see it clearly.

Ideal Applications for the Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Power Wag 9" Scuppernong Blue Fleck

The Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Power Wag 9" Scuppernong Blue Fleck is an outstanding choice for anglers targeting bigger bass in a variety of environments. Its large size and strong scent make it particularly effective when fishing deeper water, around heavy cover, or in stained conditions where bass rely more on scent than sight. The ribbon tail produces a wide swimming action that works well when the bait is dragged slowly along the bottom or hopped through cover.

Many anglers rig this worm on a Texas rig with a 1/4 oz or 3/8 oz bullet weight for fishing around rocks, wood, and vegetation. It also performs exceptionally well on a Carolina rig when covering water and locating active fish. The MaxScent technology gives this bait a major advantage during tough fishing conditions or when bass are heavily pressured. The Scuppernong Blue Fleck color is especially effective in murky or stained water, making it a go-to choice for many tournament anglers during the warmer months when water clarity decreases.

Whether you are fishing clear highland reservoirs, stained lowland lakes, or deep river systems, the Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Power Wag delivers the scent, action, and durability needed to consistently catch quality bass.
