The Carbon Express Maxima XL 27 Arrow Shafts 240 are the largest and most forgiving carbon arrow shafts in the Carbon Express lineup. Designed for serious bowhunters and competitive archers who demand maximum forgiveness and penetration, the Maxima XL 27 features an oversized 27/64" diameter that sets a new standard for arrow stability. Sold in a convenient 1-dozen pack (CX05820), these 240 spine shafts are engineered for high draw weight bows and deliver exceptional accuracy even on less-than-perfect shots.
Why Choose Carbon Express Maxima XL 27 Arrow Shafts 240?
The Carbon Express Maxima XL 27 is built with one of the largest production arrow diameters available. This extra-large 27/64" profile provides unmatched forgiveness, making it easier to achieve tight groups even when form or release is not perfect. The 240 spine rating makes these shafts extremely stiff, ideal for high-poundage bows commonly used for big game hunting. Despite the large diameter, the Maxima XL 27 maintains excellent speed and superior penetration thanks to its high-strength carbon construction. This combination makes the CX05820 an outstanding choice for hunters pursuing elk, moose, and other large game where maximum kinetic energy and forgiveness are critical.

Maximum Forgiveness for Big Game Hunting
The Carbon Express Maxima XL 27 Arrow Shafts 240 are specifically designed for hunters who want the most forgiving arrow possible without sacrificing penetration. The massive 27/64" diameter provides a significantly larger margin for error compared to standard or micro-diameter shafts. This makes the Maxima XL 27 an outstanding choice for hunters who may need to take shots from awkward positions or in challenging conditions. The stiff 240 spine ensures the arrow remains stable even when shot from high-poundage bows, delivering the deep penetration required for ethical harvests on large game animals.
Whether you’re building a set of heavy-hitting hunting arrows for elk and moose or creating durable shafts for 3D competition, the CX05820 Maxima XL 27 delivers the forgiveness, strength, and accuracy that serious archers demand from Carbon Express.
