CMMG has established itself as a leader in innovative AR platform designs, and the DISSENT series represents one of their most advanced offerings to date.

CMMG DISSENT Side-Charging System

The standout feature of the DISSENT platform is its integrated side-charging upper receiver. Unlike traditional AR-15s that require reaching over the top to charge the weapon, the DISSENT’s side charger allows for faster, more ergonomic operation. This design reduces the chance of the charging handle interfering with optics and provides a smoother, more positive charging motion. The side-charging system is especially beneficial during competition or tactical situations where speed and reliability are critical. Combined with CMMG’s high-quality components, the DISSENT platform offers a significant upgrade in handling and performance over standard direct impingement rifles.

16.1-Inch Empire Profile Barrel

This DISSENT model is equipped with a 16.1-inch Empire Profile barrel. The Empire Profile is a lightweight contour designed to reduce overall weight while maintaining excellent accuracy and heat dissipation. The non-threaded muzzle configuration is ideal for shooters who prefer to run a standard A2-style flash hider or do not intend to suppress the rifle. The 16.1-inch length provides a good balance between velocity and maneuverability, making the rifle comfortable to handle in close quarters while still delivering effective .300 Blackout performance. The Armor Tungsten finish on the barrel offers a distinctive dark gray appearance and superior protection against the elements.

Armor Tungsten Finish

The Armor Tungsten finish gives this CMMG DISSENT a modern, tactical appearance. This durable coating provides excellent resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and harsh environmental conditions. The dark tungsten color offers a sleek, professional look that differs from traditional black finishes while maintaining a low-reflective surface. This finish is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, helping to protect the rifle’s components during extended use in demanding conditions.

.300 Blackout Versatility

Chambered in .300 Blackout, this rifle offers outstanding versatility. The .300 BLK cartridge provides excellent terminal performance with both supersonic and subsonic ammunition, making it ideal for suppressed use (when threaded) as well as standard applications. Even with the non-threaded barrel, the .300 Blackout still delivers strong ballistic performance in a compact package. The cartridge’s ability to use standard AR-15 magazines adds to the rifle’s practicality and ease of use.
