CMMG continues to lead the industry with forward-thinking AR platform designs, and the DISSENT series represents one of their most advanced and user-friendly offerings.

CMMG DISSENT Side-Charging Upper Receiver

The defining feature of the DISSENT platform is its integrated side-charging upper receiver. This innovative design allows shooters to charge the rifle from the side rather than reaching over the top, resulting in faster, more ergonomic operation. The side charger reduces interference with optics and provides a smoother, more positive charging motion. This feature is especially beneficial during competition, tactical training, or any situation where speed and reliability are essential. The DISSENT’s side-charging system sets it apart from conventional AR-15s and enhances the overall shooting experience.

16.1-Inch Empire Profile Barrel

This DISSENT model is equipped with a 16.1-inch Empire Profile barrel. The Empire Profile is a lightweight barrel contour designed to reduce overall weight while maintaining excellent accuracy and heat dissipation. The non-threaded muzzle configuration is ideal for shooters who prefer a standard A2-style flash hider or do not plan to suppress the rifle. This barrel length offers a great balance between velocity and maneuverability, making the rifle comfortable to handle in close quarters while still delivering effective .300 Blackout performance. The Empire Profile helps keep the rifle lightweight without sacrificing the rigidity needed for consistent accuracy.

Midnight Bronze Finish

The Midnight Bronze finish on this CMMG DISSENT BR4 gives the rifle a premium, modern appearance. This durable coating provides excellent resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and harsh environmental conditions. The rich bronze color offers a sophisticated alternative to traditional black finishes while maintaining a low-reflective surface. The Midnight Bronze finish not only enhances the rifle’s visual appeal but also adds a layer of protection that helps maintain the firearm’s condition over time, even with frequent use.

.300 Blackout Versatility

Chambered in .300 Blackout, this rifle offers outstanding versatility for a wide range of applications. The .300 BLK cartridge provides excellent terminal performance and is popular for both supersonic and subsonic loads. Even with the non-threaded barrel, the .300 Blackout delivers strong ballistic performance in a compact, maneuverable package. The ability to use standard AR-15 magazines adds to the rifle’s practicality and ease of use for shooters who already own .223/5.56 platforms.
