CMMG continues to lead the industry with forward-thinking AR platform designs, and the DISSENT BR4 represents one of their most advanced and user-friendly offerings in the 5.56 NATO category.

CMMG DISSENT Side-Charging Upper Receiver

The defining feature of the DISSENT platform is its integrated side-charging upper receiver. This innovative design allows shooters to charge the rifle from the side rather than reaching over the top, resulting in faster, smoother, and more ergonomic operation. The side charger reduces interference with optics and provides a more positive charging motion, which is especially beneficial during competition, tactical training, or any high-stress situation. This feature significantly improves handling and speed compared to conventional AR-15 platforms, making the DISSENT BR4 a favorite among shooters who value efficiency and modern ergonomics.

16.1-Inch Empire Profile Barrel

This DISSENT model is equipped with a 16.1-inch Empire Profile barrel. The Empire Profile is a lightweight barrel contour designed to reduce overall weight while maintaining excellent accuracy and heat dissipation. The non-threaded muzzle configuration is ideal for shooters who prefer a standard A2-style flash hider or do not plan to suppress the rifle. This barrel length offers an excellent balance between velocity and maneuverability, making the rifle comfortable to handle in close quarters while still delivering effective 5.56 NATO performance. The Empire Profile helps keep the rifle lightweight without sacrificing the rigidity needed for consistent accuracy across various shooting distances.

Tungsten Finish

The Tungsten finish on this CMMG DISSENT BR4 gives the rifle a modern, tactical, and professional appearance. This durable coating provides excellent resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and harsh environmental conditions. The dark Tungsten color offers a sleek, low-reflective surface that differs from traditional black finishes while maintaining a tactical aesthetic. The finish not only enhances the rifle’s visual appeal but also adds a layer of protection that helps maintain the firearm’s condition during extended use. This high-end finish makes the DISSENT BR4 stand out from standard AR-15 rifles while providing practical durability in demanding conditions.

5.56 NATO Versatility and Performance

Chambered in 5.56 NATO, the CMMG DISSENT BR4 offers outstanding versatility and widespread ammunition availability. The 5.56 NATO cartridge is one of the most popular and affordable centerfire rifle calibers, making this rifle ideal for high-volume training, home defense, and recreational shooting. The 16.1-inch barrel provides solid velocity and effective terminal performance while keeping the overall length of the rifle compact and easy to maneuver. This makes the DISSENT BR4 a practical and capable choice for a wide range of shooters and applications.
