Whether you are a serious collector, a 1911 enthusiast, or someone looking for a truly unique showpiece, the Colt Aztec Government 1911 stands as one of the most distinctive and desirable limited-edition firearms ever produced by Colt.

Colt has a long tradition of creating special edition firearms that honor history and culture. The Aztec Government 1911 takes this tradition to new heights with its thematic design elements and premium materials, resulting in a pistol that is as much a work of art as it is a functional firearm.

Stunning Copper PVD Finish

This limited-edition 1911 features a premium Copper PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) finish that gives the pistol a rich, warm metallic appearance. The Copper PVD coating is not only visually striking but also highly durable, offering excellent resistance to wear, corrosion, and fingerprints. The deep copper tone creates a dramatic contrast against the engraved details and the natural tones of the cactus wood grips, making this pistol instantly recognizable as a special edition piece.

Intricate Aztec-Themed Engraving

Each Colt Aztec Government 1911 features custom engraving inspired by ancient Aztec art and symbolism. The detailed engraving work covers the slide, frame, and other key components, showcasing intricate patterns and motifs that pay homage to Aztec heritage. This level of hand engraving transforms the pistol into a true collector’s piece, with each firearm displaying unique artistic details that reflect the skill of the engravers. The engraving is both elegant and bold, making this 1911 a standout addition to any collection.

Premium Cactus Wood Grips

Complementing the Copper PVD finish and engraving are beautiful cactus wood grips. Cactus wood is a rare and distinctive material known for its unique grain patterns and natural beauty. These grips are carefully selected and finished to highlight the wood’s natural characteristics while providing a comfortable and secure hold. The combination of the warm copper tones and the organic look of the cactus wood creates a visually stunning contrast that enhances the overall aesthetic of the pistol.

.38 Super Chambering

This special edition is chambered in the classic .38 Super cartridge. Originally developed in the 1920s, the .38 Super offers higher velocity and a flatter trajectory than the .45 ACP while maintaining excellent accuracy. The 5-inch Government model barrel maximizes the cartridge’s performance, delivering impressive ballistics in a full-size 1911 platform. The .38 Super remains a favorite among competitive shooters and those who appreciate its historical significance and shooting characteristics.

Limited Edition – Only 300 Produced

With only 300 units produced, the Colt Aztec Government 1911 is an extremely limited and exclusive firearm. Each pistol is individually numbered, adding to its collectible value and desirability. Limited edition Colt firearms of this caliber often appreciate in value over time, making this not only a beautiful shooting piece but also a sound investment for serious collectors.
