The Colt Grizzly .357 Magnum 3" Stainless Steel Unfluted Ported Shooters Model Revolver ZGRIZZLYSP3RTS (UPC 151550026914) is a powerful, compact, and feature-rich revolver designed for shooters who demand maximum performance in a smaller package. Chambered in the versatile and hard-hitting .357 Magnum, this Grizzly model features a 3-inch ported barrel, a durable stainless steel finish, and an unfluted cylinder that adds both strength and a distinctive appearance. As part of Colt’s “Shooters” series, this revolver is optimized for enhanced accuracy, reduced recoil, and superior handling. The combination of the ported barrel, unfluted cylinder, and stainless steel construction makes the Colt Grizzly an outstanding choice for concealed carry, home defense, and big game handgun hunting where a compact yet powerful revolver is required.

The Colt Grizzly represents a modern take on the classic large-frame revolver, delivering .357 Magnum power in a more manageable 3-inch configuration while incorporating performance-enhancing features that serious shooters will appreciate.

3-Inch Ported Barrel for Reduced Recoil

The 3-inch ported barrel is one of the standout features of this Grizzly model. The integral ports help redirect expanding gases upward, significantly reducing muzzle flip and felt recoil. This makes the revolver much more comfortable and controllable when firing full-power .357 Magnum loads. The porting allows shooters to take full advantage of the .357 Magnum’s power without the punishing recoil typically associated with short-barreled magnum revolvers. The shorter barrel also makes the Grizzly easier to carry and conceal compared to longer-barreled models while still delivering impressive ballistic performance.

Unfluted Cylinder for Added Strength

This Grizzly model features an unfluted cylinder, which provides additional strength and a more robust appearance compared to traditional fluted cylinders. The unfluted design increases the cylinder’s structural integrity, allowing it to better handle the high pressures generated by .357 Magnum ammunition. In addition to the performance benefits, the unfluted cylinder gives the revolver a distinctive, aggressive look that many enthusiasts prefer. This feature is especially valued by shooters who frequently fire heavy .357 Magnum loads.

Stainless Steel Construction

The Colt Grizzly is constructed entirely of stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. This makes the revolver well-suited for everyday carry, where it may be exposed to moisture, sweat, and varying environmental conditions. The stainless steel finish provides a sleek, modern appearance while requiring minimal maintenance compared to blued firearms. The material choice also contributes to the revolver’s overall strength and ability to withstand heavy use.

Shooters Model Enhancements

As a “Shooters Model,” this Grizzly includes refinements aimed at improving accuracy, handling, and overall shooting performance. These enhancements typically include a tuned trigger, improved sights, and other details that make the revolver more enjoyable and effective for serious range use and defensive applications. The Shooters Model designation indicates that Colt has optimized this version for shooters who demand more from their revolvers.

.357 Magnum Versatility

Chambered in .357 Magnum, the Grizzly offers outstanding versatility. It can safely fire both powerful .357 Magnum loads and milder .38 Special ammunition, allowing shooters to practice with less expensive and lower-recoil .38 Special rounds while maintaining the ability to load .357 Magnum for maximum performance when needed. This flexibility makes the Grizzly suitable for a wide range of uses, from range training to personal protection.
