The CVA Cascade LR HTR 7mm is a purpose-built long-range hunting rifle designed to deliver exceptional accuracy, reliability, and value. Featuring a 24-inch barrel and chambered in the powerful and efficient 7mm cartridge, this model (CR3960F) combines modern engineering with CVA’s reputation for producing high-performance, affordable bolt-action rifles. The Cascade LR HTR (Long Range Hunter) is specifically engineered for hunters who demand precision at extended distances while maintaining the lightweight and maneuverable characteristics needed for backcountry hunting.
Precision 24-Inch Barrel
The Cascade LR HTR is equipped with a 24-inch barrel that provides an excellent balance between velocity and handling. The longer barrel maximizes the ballistic potential of the 7mm cartridge, delivering higher muzzle velocities and flatter trajectories for long-range shooting. The barrel is threaded, allowing for easy installation of a muzzle brake or suppressor, and is finished with a durable, non-reflective coating that resists corrosion in harsh hunting environments.
Modern Long-Range Stock Design
The LR HTR model features a specially designed stock optimized for long-range shooting. It includes an adjustable cheek piece and length of pull spacers, allowing shooters to achieve a perfect fit for consistent cheek weld and eye alignment with optics. The stock is constructed from a lightweight yet durable synthetic material with textured grip surfaces for secure handling in all weather conditions. Its ergonomic design helps reduce felt recoil while maintaining stability during prone or supported shooting positions.
Smooth Bolt Action and Adjustable Trigger
The Cascade LR HTR utilizes CVA’s smooth-cycling bolt action, known for its reliability and ease of use. The rifle comes with an adjustable trigger that can be tuned to the shooter’s preference, typically ranging from 2 to 4 pounds. This feature allows hunters to achieve a crisp, consistent trigger pull, which is essential for precision long-range shooting. The two-position safety provides added security in the field.
