The CVA Cascade XT 6.5 PRC (Model CR3989G) is a premium bolt-action rifle that combines modern design, exceptional accuracy, and outstanding value. Chambered in the powerful and efficient 6.5 PRC cartridge and featuring a 24-inch barrel finished in attractive Olive Drab Green (ODG), this rifle is built for serious hunters who demand long-range performance without breaking the budget. The Cascade XT represents CVA’s upgraded version of the popular Cascade series, offering enhanced ergonomics, improved materials, and refined features that make it an excellent choice for western big game hunting, long-range shooting, and precision hunting applications.

Powerful 6.5 PRC Performance

The 6.5 PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge) has quickly become one of the most popular long-range hunting cartridges in North America. It delivers flat trajectories, excellent wind resistance, and impressive terminal performance on medium to large game. The CVA Cascade XT 6.5 PRC takes full advantage of this cartridge’s capabilities with its 24-inch barrel, which maximizes velocity and accuracy. This combination makes the rifle highly effective for hunting elk, mule deer, pronghorn, and black bear at extended ranges where other cartridges begin to lose effectiveness.

Upgraded XT Features and Design

The “XT” designation on the Cascade model signifies several key upgrades over the standard Cascade rifle. These include an improved synthetic stock with enhanced ergonomics, a more aggressive texturing for better grip in all weather conditions, and refined metal finishes. The Olive Drab Green stock and metal components provide excellent camouflage in wooded and mountainous environments while offering a modern, tactical appearance. The rifle also features a threaded muzzle, allowing easy installation of a suppressor or muzzle brake for reduced recoil and sound signature.

The CVA Cascade XT stands out in the crowded bolt-action rifle market by offering an impressive combination of features, performance, and value. While many long-range rifles in the 6.5 PRC caliber carry premium price tags, the Cascade XT delivers comparable accuracy and features at a more accessible price point. The 24-inch barrel optimizes the 6.5 PRC’s ballistic potential, while the threaded muzzle provides flexibility for adding a suppressor or brake. The Olive Drab Green finish offers both functional camouflage and a modern aesthetic that appeals to today’s hunters. CVA has built a strong reputation for producing reliable, accurate rifles that perform well in the field, and the Cascade XT continues this tradition with upgraded components and thoughtful design improvements. Whether you’re a seasoned hunter looking for a dedicated long-range rifle or a shooter entering the world of precision hunting, the CVA Cascade XT 6.5 PRC offers the accuracy, reliability, and features needed for success.

Excellent Accuracy and Reliability

CVA rifles are known for their out-of-the-box accuracy, and the Cascade XT is no exception. The combination of a quality barrel, solid action, and well-designed stock results in a rifle capable of producing tight groups at long range. This level of precision is essential for ethical long-range hunting, where shot placement is critical.

Suppressor Ready and Hunter Friendly

The threaded 24-inch barrel makes the Cascade XT ready for suppressor use right out of the box. Many hunters are now choosing suppressed rifles for reduced recoil, better hearing protection, and less disturbance to game in the field. The Cascade XT’s design makes it easy to add a suppressor without additional modifications.
