Dan Wesson has earned a strong reputation for precision manufacturing and attention to detail. The Pointman series represents the brand’s commitment to producing traditional 1911s with premium features and exceptional fit and finish.

Full-Size 5-Inch 9mm 1911 Platform

The Pointman Nine features a full 5-inch barrel, giving it the classic proportions of a Government model 1911. The 9mm chambering provides several advantages over traditional .45 ACP models, including lower recoil, higher magazine capacity, and more affordable ammunition. This makes the Pointman Nine an excellent choice for high-volume training, competitive shooting, and shooters who prefer the flatter trajectory and faster follow-up shots that 9mm offers.

Stainless Steel Construction

The Pointman Nine is built with a stainless steel frame and slide, providing excellent durability, corrosion resistance, and a classic, professional appearance. Stainless steel construction gives the pistol a substantial, high-quality feel while ensuring it maintains its appearance over many years of ownership. This material choice makes the Pointman Nine particularly well-suited for both range use and those who want a 1911 that will stand the test of time with minimal maintenance.

Premium Wood Grips

This model comes equipped with beautiful wood grips that provide both classic aesthetics and excellent handling. The wood grips offer a warm, traditional feel while delivering a secure purchase for consistent control during shooting. These grips enhance the pistol’s overall appearance and give it a refined, high-end look that many 1911 enthusiasts prefer over modern polymer or aluminum options.

Fully Adjustable Sights

The Pointman Nine is equipped with fully adjustable rear sights, allowing shooters to fine-tune windage and elevation for maximum accuracy. This feature is especially valuable for competitive shooters and those who want to optimize the pistol for specific ammunition loads. The adjustable sights provide the precision needed for target shooting and bullseye competitions while still offering a clear sight picture for defensive use.

9-Round Capacity in 9mm

Chambered in 9mm, the Pointman Nine offers a 9-round magazine capacity. This provides a good balance of firepower and the benefits of the 9mm cartridge, including lower recoil and more affordable practice ammunition. The magazines are designed for reliable feeding and smooth operation, making the pistol well-suited for both competitive shooting and extended range sessions.
