The DPMS DP-15 FSB 5.56 Pistol 10.5" A2 Carry Handle Side Folding SBA3 Brace DP51655126877 (UPC 850044275397) is a compact and highly maneuverable AR-15 style pistol built for shooters who want classic styling combined with modern functionality. This factory-configured pistol features a 10.5-inch barrel with a traditional A2 front sight base and carry handle, giving it a retro yet practical appearance. Equipped with the popular SB Tactical SBA3 side-folding brace, this DP-15 offers excellent stability and control while maintaining its classification as a pistol. Whether you’re looking for a compact home defense weapon, a fun range pistol, or a tactical platform with classic aesthetics, the DPMS DP-15 delivers solid performance in a compact package.

DPMS has long been known for producing reliable and affordable AR-platform firearms. This DP-15 model combines proven components with thoughtful modern upgrades, including the side-folding SBA3 brace that allows for easy storage and transport. The 10.5-inch barrel keeps the overall length short while still providing respectable ballistic performance in 5.56 NATO. The included A2 carry handle adds a nostalgic touch while providing a solid mounting platform for optics or iron sights.

Classic A2 Carry Handle and FSB Design

This DP-15 pistol is equipped with a traditional A2 carry handle and front sight base, giving it a classic military-inspired look. The A2 carry handle provides a fixed rear sight and a convenient carrying option, while also serving as a stable platform for mounting optics using an aftermarket rail adapter if desired. The front sight base (FSB) is pinned in place, offering a durable and reliable front sight that many shooters prefer over modern gas block designs. This combination delivers a nostalgic appearance with functional reliability that has been trusted for decades.

The 10.5-inch barrel is chambered in 5.56 NATO, allowing the use of both 5.56 and .223 Remington ammunition. The shorter barrel length makes this pistol significantly more compact than standard carbines, improving maneuverability in tight spaces while remaining easy to handle during range sessions.

SB Tactical SBA3 Side Folding Brace

One of the standout features of this DPMS pistol is the SB Tactical SBA3 side-folding brace. The SBA3 provides shooters with enhanced stability and control by allowing the firearm to be shouldered while remaining classified as a pistol. The side-folding design makes the pistol much more compact for storage and transport, which is especially useful for vehicle carry or when space is limited. The SBA3 is widely regarded as one of the most comfortable and functional braces available, offering multiple adjustment positions to fit different users and shooting styles.

This brace significantly improves the shootability of the pistol compared to models without a brace, making follow-up shots faster and more accurate while maintaining a legal pistol configuration.
