The FAB Defense FX-M4AKP M4 Folding Buttstock Adapter for AK Rifles (UPC 7290105940926) is a high-quality, innovative stock adapter that allows AK-platform rifle owners to mount standard M4/AR-15 collapsible stocks on their AK-47, AKM, or AK-74 rifles. Manufactured by FAB Defense, a leading Israeli defense company known for producing durable and functional tactical accessories, the FX-M4AKP transforms the ergonomics and versatility of the AK platform. This folding buttstock adapter enables users to install popular M4-style stocks, providing a more comfortable length of pull, improved cheek weld, and the ability to quickly fold the stock for compact storage or transport. The FX-M4AKP is constructed from high-strength reinforced polymer, making it both lightweight and extremely durable under harsh field conditions. Whether you’re a competitive shooter, tactical professional, or AK enthusiast looking to modernize your rifle, this adapter offers a reliable and practical solution for enhancing the handling and customization options of your AK rifle.

FAB Defense has earned a strong reputation for designing innovative, combat-proven accessories that improve the functionality of popular firearm platforms, and the FX-M4AKP continues that tradition with its thoughtful engineering and robust construction.

Folding Mechanism for Compact Storage

One of the most valuable features of the FX-M4AKP is its integrated folding mechanism. The adapter allows the stock to fold to the side, significantly reducing the overall length of the rifle. This makes the rifle much easier to store in cases, transport in vehicles, or maneuver in tight spaces. The folding joint is designed to be strong and reliable, locking securely in both the folded and extended positions. This feature is especially beneficial for AK owners who want the convenience of a folding stock without having to replace the entire rear trunnion or perform major modifications to their rifle.

Enhanced Ergonomics and Modularity

The FX-M4AKP significantly improves the ergonomics of the AK platform by allowing the use of modern M4-style stocks. Traditional AK stocks often have a short length of pull and limited adjustability. By installing an M4 collapsible stock, users gain the ability to adjust the length of pull to fit their body size and shooting style. This results in better shouldering, improved cheek weld, and greater overall comfort during extended shooting sessions. The adapter also opens up a wide range of aftermarket stock options, giving AK owners access to the same level of customization typically reserved for AR-15 platforms.

Durable Reinforced Polymer Construction

FAB Defense manufactures the FX-M4AKP using high-strength reinforced polymer. This material provides an excellent balance of strength, impact resistance, and lightweight construction. The adapter is designed to handle the heavy recoil of the AK platform while remaining resistant to cracking or deformation. Its robust build quality ensures long-term reliability even under demanding use in training, competition, or real-world tactical environments.

Easy Installation

The FX-M4AKP is designed for straightforward installation on most standard AK rifles. It replaces the original rear stock and attaches to the existing rear trunnion, requiring minimal gunsmithing for most users. Once installed, it provides a secure and stable mounting platform for any standard M4/AR-15 collapsible stock. The adapter maintains proper alignment and stability, ensuring consistent accuracy and reliable function.
