The Faxon Big Gunner 6.5 Creedmoor rifle barrel offers an excellent balance of maneuverable weight and accuracy potential. Faxon machines each Big Gunner barrel from triple stress-relieved 416R stainless steel, and finishes it with a tough, wear-resistant matte black QPQ Nitride finish.

Faxon’s Big Gunner 6.5 Creedmoor rifle barrel profile is a blend of Faxon’s Government and Pencil profiles, matching the Gov’t taper from the extension to the gas block, with a Pencil profile from the block to the muzzle. Removing the weight from the front mitigates muzzle whip, while keeping material at the rear maximizes rigidity and resistance to heat distortion. It keeps the center of gravity to the rear, making the rifle more maneuverable.
