Whether you're splitting firewood, clearing trails, or preparing shelter in the backcountry, the Gerber 23.5" Axe provides the strength and performance you can depend on.

Gerber has long been trusted by outdoor enthusiasts and tactical professionals for creating rugged, functional tools. The 23.5" Axe continues that tradition with an upgraded design that improves on the popular XL Axe II. Its longer handle provides increased leverage and chopping power, while the forged steel head ensures long-lasting edge retention and resistance to wear. This axe is built to handle demanding tasks in the field without compromising on control or comfort.

Heavy-Duty Construction for Maximum Performance

The Gerber 23.5" Axe features a forged steel head that is designed for superior strength and impact resistance. The blade is engineered to maintain a sharp edge through repeated use, making it highly effective for chopping through hardwood and dense vegetation. The handle is constructed from a durable, shock-absorbing material that helps reduce vibration and fatigue during extended chopping sessions. This combination of a robust head and ergonomic handle makes the Gerber 23.5" Axe one of the most capable full-size axes in its class.

Ideal for Camping, Survival, and Outdoor Work

The Gerber 23.5" Axe is an excellent choice for a wide range of outdoor activities. Campers and backpackers appreciate its ability to quickly process firewood and prepare kindling. Survivalists and bushcrafters rely on its chopping power for shelter building and clearing vegetation. Landowners and outdoor workers also find it useful for trail maintenance and general property upkeep. The longer handle provides the leverage needed for efficient chopping, while the balanced design helps maintain control and accuracy with each swing.

Unlike smaller hatchets, this full-size axe is built for heavy-duty tasks. Its length and weight distribution allow users to generate significant force with each strike, making it far more effective at splitting logs and cutting through thicker branches than compact alternatives. At the same time, the handle design helps minimize hand fatigue, allowing for longer periods of productive work.
