24-Inch Stainless Steel Barrel and .243 Winchester Performance
The 24-inch stainless steel barrel on the Great Lakes Firearms RIB maximizes the ballistic potential of the .243 Winchester cartridge. This caliber is widely praised for its flat trajectory, manageable recoil, and excellent accuracy, making it one of the most versatile centerfire rifle cartridges available. The longer barrel length helps achieve higher velocities, resulting in improved long-range performance and energy retention.
The stainless steel barrel provides superior resistance to corrosion and wear, ensuring the rifle maintains its accuracy and appearance even after years of use in varying weather conditions. Combined with the Remington 700 action, this barrel configuration delivers the precision and consistency that serious shooters expect.
Lichen Grey Finish
The Lichen Grey finish on this model offers a modern, tactical appearance while providing excellent protection against the elements. This color has become increasingly popular among precision rifle shooters and hunters who want a finish that reduces glare and blends well in natural environments. The durable coating helps protect the rifle from scratches, moisture, and general wear.
