The Great Lakes Firearms RIB 6.5 PRC 24" Bolt Action Rifle GL70065PRCSS BLK (UPC 638457795653) is a high-performance precision rifle built for serious hunters and long-range shooters. Part of Great Lakes Firearms’ popular RIB (Rifle In a Box) series, this model combines the proven Remington 700 action with the powerful and efficient 6.5 PRC cartridge. Featuring a 24-inch barrel and AICS magazine compatibility, this rifle delivers exceptional accuracy, long-range capability, and modern functionality at an outstanding value.

The 6.5 PRC has quickly become one of the most popular long-range hunting and precision shooting cartridges available today. It offers a significant ballistic advantage over the 6.5 Creedmoor with higher velocity and better long-range energy retention. The Great Lakes Firearms RIB 6.5 PRC is designed to take full advantage of this cartridge’s capabilities while providing the reliability and aftermarket support of the Remington 700 platform.

Remington 700 Compatible Action with AICS Magazine

The Great Lakes Firearms RIB is built on a Remington 700 footprint, one of the most trusted and widely supported bolt action platforms in the industry. This compatibility gives shooters access to thousands of aftermarket stocks, triggers, chassis systems, and accessories. The action is smooth, precise, and known for its strength and reliability under heavy use.

This model comes equipped with an AICS-pattern magazine, allowing for fast, reliable reloading. AICS magazine compatibility is a major advantage for precision rifle shooters and hunters who want quick follow-up shots or need to reload efficiently during competitions or hunts. The rifle is ready for use with a wide variety of aftermarket AICS magazines right out of the box.

24-Inch Stainless Steel Barrel for Superior Long-Range Performance

The 24-inch stainless steel barrel on the Great Lakes Firearms RIB 6.5 PRC is optimized to maximize the ballistic potential of the 6.5 PRC cartridge. This longer barrel length helps achieve higher muzzle velocities, resulting in flatter trajectories and better energy retention at extended distances. The stainless steel construction provides excellent corrosion resistance, making the rifle well-suited for use in harsh weather conditions.

The 6.5 PRC is known for its ability to deliver high performance with relatively low recoil, making it comfortable to shoot while still offering the power needed for ethical harvesting of medium to large game at long range. The combination of the 24-inch barrel and the efficient 6.5 PRC cartridge makes this rifle an outstanding choice for western big game hunting and long-range precision shooting.
