GSM Gizz 2 3/16 oz Numb Shad: Subtle Realism for Pressured Bass

The GSM Gizz 2 3/16 oz Numb Shad (BLF-GS2316-1006) is a high-quality weighted swimbait that closely imitates a gizzard shad with a more natural, low-flash presentation. Weighing 3/16 of an ounce, this lure offers excellent casting distance while maintaining a subtle, realistic swimming action that bass find difficult to resist. The Numb Shad color features a translucent, natural baitfish pattern with muted tones that excel in clear water and when bass have seen more aggressive, flashy lures too often.

GSM Outdoors designed the Gizz 2 series to give anglers a versatile and effective swimbait option. The Numb Shad colorway stands out as a go-to choice for clear water situations and pressured fisheries where a more subdued profile is needed. Its weighted design helps it sink at a natural rate while the soft plastic body produces a lifelike tail kick that mimics a real shad swimming through the water.

Why Anglers Choose the GSM Gizz 2 Numb Shad

The GSM Gizz 2 3/16 oz Numb Shad is a favorite among bass anglers who fish clear water or heavily pressured lakes and rivers. While many swimbaits rely on flash and bright colors, the Numb Shad offers a more natural, understated appearance that can be the difference between getting bites and getting ignored. This color excels when bass are feeding on shad but have become wary of more aggressive presentations. The 3/16 oz size is versatile enough to be fished in a variety of depths and conditions. Anglers commonly rig the Gizz 2 on a jig head for a steady retrieve or use it as a trailer on a swim jig. It can also be fished weightless or with a light split shot for a slower, more subtle presentation. The natural swimming action combined with the realistic Numb Shad color makes this lure highly effective for both largemouth and smallmouth bass throughout the year.

Additional benefits include:

• Excellent natural swimming action
• Subtle profile ideal for clear water and pressured bass
• Versatile 3/16 oz weight for multiple techniques
• Realistic gizzard shad imitation
• Durable soft plastic that resists tearing
• Effective on largemouth and smallmouth bass
• Great for finesse swimbait presentations

Ideal Applications for the GSM Gizz 2 Numb Shad

The GSM Gizz 2 3/16 oz Numb Shad is particularly effective in clear water and when targeting bass that have seen a lot of fishing pressure. Its subtle color and natural action make it a great choice for lakes and rivers where bass are selective. The lure performs well when fished around points, grass edges, rocky banks, and open water where shad are present. Many anglers use the Gizz 2 on a jig head for a steady retrieve or as a trailer behind a swim jig. It can also be fished with a slow, steady retrieve or with occasional pauses to let the tail work. The Numb Shad color is especially productive during the spring and fall when water clarity is high and bass are feeding on shad. Its realistic profile and natural movement help it stand out from more common flashy swimbaits.

This lure is especially popular among finesse swimbait anglers, clear water specialists, and tournament fishermen looking for a natural baitfish presentation in pressured waters.
