The Heritage Manufacturing Badlander 12GA SXS (Model BL1218BK-CR) is a rugged and reliable side-by-side double barrel shotgun designed for shooters who appreciate traditional firearms with modern practicality. Chambered in powerful 12 gauge and featuring a pair of 18-inch barrels, this coach gun-style shotgun offers excellent maneuverability in tight spaces while delivering the stopping power that has made the 12 gauge a favorite for generations. With its durable black finish and classic exposed hammer design, the Badlander combines old-world charm with functional performance. Whether you’re a cowboy action shooter, a collector of traditional firearms, or someone looking for a compact defensive shotgun, the Heritage Badlander delivers strong value and distinctive style.

Classic Side-by-Side Design

The Badlander features a traditional side-by-side barrel configuration that has been popular for over a century. This layout provides a wide sighting plane and allows for quick target acquisition with both barrels. The 18-inch barrel length makes the shotgun significantly more compact than standard field guns, improving handling in close quarters such as home defense scenarios or when moving through brush. The exposed hammers give the Badlander its classic coach gun appearance while providing a visual and tactile indication of the gun’s condition.

Durable Black Finish

The Badlander comes with a tough black finish on both the metalwork and stock components. This finish provides excellent corrosion resistance and helps the shotgun maintain its appearance even after heavy use. The black color scheme gives the firearm a tactical yet traditional look that appeals to a wide range of shooters. The finish is designed to withstand the rigors of regular range use, field carry, and storage without showing wear quickly.
