The HEVI-XII 20GA 3" 1.25OZ #6 TUNGSTEN shotgun shells deliver premium non-toxic performance for waterfowl hunters who want the advantages of a 20 gauge without sacrificing pattern density or downrange energy. Manufactured by Hevi-Shot, these high-density tungsten loads provide significantly better performance than traditional steel shot. The HS52006 model features a 3-inch shell loaded with a heavy 1.25-ounce payload of #6 tungsten shot, offering an excellent balance of pellet count and individual pellet weight for consistent, lethal patterns on ducks and other waterfowl.
Why Choose HEVI-XII 20 Gauge #6 Tungsten Shotgun Shells?
The 20 gauge continues to grow in popularity among waterfowl hunters who prefer lighter recoil and quicker handling. However, the smaller payload of the 20 gauge can limit performance with conventional steel loads. HEVI-XII tungsten shot overcomes this limitation by being approximately 30% denser than steel. This increased density allows the pellets to retain more energy at longer ranges while producing tighter, more consistent patterns. The #6 shot size in this 1.25 oz load provides a high pellet count, making it highly effective on smaller to medium-sized ducks such as teal, wigeon, gadwall, and mallards at typical waterfowl hunting distances. Hunters consistently report cleaner kills and superior pattern performance with HEVI-XII compared to standard steel loads of the same gauge and shot size.

Performance and Build Quality
The HEVI-XII 20GA 3" 1.25OZ #6 TUNGSTEN shells are manufactured using premium components and strict quality control standards. The tungsten shot is precision-formed to ensure uniform size and density, resulting in consistent patterns shot after shot. Because tungsten is significantly denser than steel, these shells maintain velocity and energy much farther downrange, giving hunters a decisive advantage when birds are at the edge of conventional steel shot range. The 1.25-ounce payload of #6 shot delivers an outstanding combination of pellet count and individual pellet weight, making it highly effective on a wide variety of ducks. Many 20 gauge users report noticeably tighter patterns and better terminal performance with HEVI-XII compared to standard steel loads of the same gauge and shot size.
