The HEVI-XII 28 Gauge 3" 1 oz #4 Tungsten Shot Shells HS52814 represent the pinnacle of modern shotgun ammunition technology. Manufactured by HEVI-Shot, these premium tungsten shotshells deliver superior downrange performance compared to traditional steel or lead loads. With a 3-inch shell length and a 1-ounce payload of #4 tungsten shot, the HEVI-XII offers exceptional pattern density, penetration, and energy retention, making it an outstanding choice for upland bird hunting, waterfowl, and small game in 28 gauge platforms.
Why Choose HEVI-XII 28 Gauge Tungsten Shells?
The 28 gauge has long been favored by hunters who appreciate its light recoil and excellent handling characteristics. However, traditional steel loads in 28 gauge often lack the density and downrange performance needed for clean, ethical kills at longer ranges. HEVI-XII solves this problem by using high-density tungsten shot that is significantly denser than steel. This allows the pellets to maintain velocity and energy much farther downrange while delivering tighter patterns and deeper penetration. The result is a 28 gauge load that performs more like a larger gauge, giving hunters the best of both worlds: manageable recoil with magnum-like terminal performance.

Performance and Build Quality
The HEVI-XII 28 Gauge 3" 1 oz #4 Tungsten shells are engineered for serious hunters who demand maximum performance from their 28 gauge shotguns. Because tungsten is much denser than steel, the pellets retain velocity and kinetic energy significantly better than conventional steel loads. This translates into cleaner kills at extended ranges and better performance in windy conditions. The #4 shot size offers an excellent balance between pattern density and individual pellet energy, making it highly effective on pheasants, grouse, quail, and ducks. HEVI-Shot uses premium components including high-quality hulls, reliable primers, and clean-burning powder to ensure consistent velocities and reliable ignition in all weather conditions. Hunters consistently report tighter patterns and more effective terminal performance compared to standard steel loads in the same gauge.
