Retay Ace-R 28 Gauge 26" Gamekeeper Semi-Automatic Shotgun C-RACEGMKPR-26 (UPC 193212037084)

The Retay Ace-R 28 Gauge 26" Gamekeeper Semi-Automatic Shotgun C-RACEGMKPR-26 (UPC 193212037084) is a lightweight, high-performance inertia-driven shotgun built specifically for upland bird hunters who value speed, reduced recoil, and reliable function. Manufactured by Retay, the Ace-R Gamekeeper in 28 gauge offers an exceptionally smooth shooting experience with minimal felt recoil, making it an outstanding choice for long days in the field pursuing quail, doves, grouse, and pheasant. With its 26-inch barrel and practical Gamekeeper camouflage finish, this model delivers excellent handling characteristics in a compact and easy-to-carry package.

The 28-gauge platform has become increasingly popular among upland hunters due to its light weight and soft-shooting nature. The Retay Ace-R Gamekeeper takes full advantage of these benefits while adding the speed and reliability of a modern inertia semi-automatic action. Whether you’re walking miles of CRP fields or hunting tight cover, this shotgun provides fast target acquisition, smooth cycling, and dependable performance across a wide range of 28-gauge ammunition.

Advanced Inertia-Driven Operating System

The Retay Ace-R utilizes a proven inertia-driven action that is both simple and extremely reliable. Unlike gas-operated shotguns, the inertia system has fewer moving parts, resulting in less maintenance and greater long-term durability. This design allows the Ace-R to cycle smoothly and consistently with everything from light target loads to heavier field loads, giving hunters true versatility in the field.

Because the action does not rely on gas ports, the Retay Ace-R stays cleaner during extended shooting sessions. The inertia system also helps reduce felt recoil, allowing shooters to maintain better control and stay on target for faster follow-up shots — a critical advantage when hunting fast-flushing upland birds.

26-Inch Barrel for Superior Handling

The Retay Ace-R Gamekeeper is equipped with a 26-inch barrel, which provides outstanding maneuverability in thick cover while still delivering excellent pattern performance. The shorter barrel length makes this shotgun particularly well-suited for hunting in dense brush, wooded areas, and tight cover where quick shouldering and fast swings are essential. Despite the shorter barrel, the Ace-R maintains excellent balance and pointability.

The shotgun comes with a set of interchangeable choke tubes, allowing hunters to optimize their pattern for different species and hunting conditions. The ventilated rib helps with quick target acquisition and reduces heat distortion during high-volume shooting. This combination makes the 26-inch Ace-R Gamekeeper an extremely versatile choice for a wide range of upland hunting scenarios.

Gamekeeper Camouflage and Ergonomics

The Gamekeeper model features a durable synthetic stock finished in a practical camouflage pattern that helps the shotgun blend into natural surroundings. The stock is designed with a comfortable pistol grip and proper length of pull that promotes quick shouldering and consistent cheek weld. The overall lightweight design of the 28-gauge platform makes the Ace-R Gamekeeper easy to carry throughout long days of walking and hunting.

Retay has focused heavily on ergonomics with the Ace-R series. The controls are well-placed and easy to operate, even when wearing gloves. The slim forend and comfortable stock design allow for intuitive handling and reduced fatigue during extended hunts.
