Why the Retay ACE-R Walnut 28GA Stands Out

The Retay ACE-R 28 Gauge stands out as a versatile over/under shotgun that balances traditional performance with modern practicality. The 28 gauge platform is favored by many hunters for its noticeably lighter recoil compared to 20 and 12 gauge shotguns, allowing for faster follow-up shots and more comfortable shooting during long days in the field. The 28-inch barrels provide an ideal combination of swing speed and pattern density, making this shotgun highly effective for quail, dove, grouse, and other upland game. Unlike traditional walnut-stocked models, this version features a tough synthetic stock that offers superior weather resistance and durability in harsh hunting conditions. Retay has equipped the ACE-R with a single selective trigger, automatic ejectors, and interchangeable chokes, delivering the features expected from a high-quality over/under shotgun.

Ideal for Upland Bird Hunters and Sport Shooters

The Retay ACE-R Walnut 28GA is an outstanding choice for hunters who pursue quail, dove, grouse, and other upland game birds. The 28 gauge offers significantly less recoil than larger gauges, making it ideal for smaller-framed shooters, youth hunters, and anyone who wants to shoot comfortably for extended periods. The 28-inch barrels provide excellent reach and pattern density for longer shots, while the synthetic stock ensures the shotgun remains reliable in wet, muddy, or cold conditions commonly encountered during hunts. This model is also well-suited for sporting clays and trap shooting, where its balanced feel and smooth handling allow for fast target acquisition. The durable synthetic stock gives the shotgun a practical, no-nonsense appearance that holds up well to heavy field use.

This model is especially popular among hunters who want a lightweight 28 gauge over/under with a tough synthetic stock that can handle harsh weather conditions without sacrificing performance.
