RETAY Gordion Compact Realtree Legacy 20 Gauge 24" Barrel Synthetic Stock Semi-Automatic Shotgun (COM-GOR20LEG-24) UPC 193212047946

The RETAY Gordion Compact Realtree Legacy (Model COM-GOR20LEG-24, UPC 193212047946) is a purpose-built compact 20 gauge semi-automatic shotgun designed specifically for smaller-framed shooters, youth, and hunters who prefer a lighter, more maneuverable firearm. Featuring a 24-inch barrel, a compact synthetic stock, and finished in Realtree Legacy camouflage, this inertia-driven shotgun delivers reliable performance with reduced recoil in a size that fits younger or smaller shooters perfectly.

Why the RETAY Gordion Compact 20 Gauge Stands Out

The RETAY Gordion Compact was developed to fill the gap between youth shotguns and full-size adult models. While many compact shotguns sacrifice quality and features, the Gordion Compact maintains the same high standards as RETAY’s full-size models. The inertia operating system provides clean, reliable cycling with minimal maintenance and noticeably softer recoil than gas-operated shotguns — a major advantage for younger or recoil-sensitive shooters. The 24-inch barrel offers a good balance between maneuverability and effective pattern performance, while the compact stock brings the length of pull and overall length down to a size that fits smaller shooters comfortably. The Realtree Legacy camouflage pattern provides excellent concealment in a wide variety of hunting environments.

Key Features of the RETAY Gordion Compact Realtree Legacy

• Compact Stock Design: Shorter length of pull and reduced overall length specifically engineered for smaller-framed shooters and youth.
• 24-Inch Barrel: Provides excellent handling and maneuverability while maintaining good pattern performance.
• 20 Gauge Chambering: Significantly lighter recoil than 12 gauge, making it ideal for extended shooting sessions.
• 2-3/4" Chamber: Optimized for standard 20 gauge loads commonly used in upland and small game hunting.
• Realtree Legacy Camouflage: Highly effective pattern for concealment in timber, brush, and agricultural fields.
• Inertia-Driven Operating System: Reliable cycling with fewer moving parts and reduced maintenance requirements.
• 4-Round Capacity: Provides ample ammunition for hunting situations.
• Interchangeable Choke System: Includes multiple chokes for different hunting applications.
• Fiber Optic Front Sight: Improves visibility and quick target acquisition on fast-moving game.

Designed for Youth and Smaller-Framed Shooters

The RETAY Gordion Compact 20 Gauge is an excellent choice for introducing young hunters to the sport or for adult shooters with smaller builds who find full-size shotguns uncomfortable. The compact stock reduces the length of pull, allowing proper shouldering and cheek weld without the gun feeling too long or heavy. Combined with the naturally softer recoil of the 20 gauge, this shotgun helps new and smaller shooters develop good habits and enjoy shooting without developing a fear of recoil. The Realtree Legacy camouflage helps young hunters blend into their surroundings during turkey, small game, and upland bird hunts.

Despite its compact size, the Gordion Compact maintains the same quality and reliability found in RETAY’s larger models. The inertia system functions consistently across a wide range of temperatures and ammunition types, giving parents and instructors confidence in the firearm’s performance.

Ideal Hunting Applications

The RETAY Gordion Compact is well-suited for a variety of hunting situations, including:

• Upland bird hunting (pheasant, quail, grouse, dove)
• Small game hunting (rabbit, squirrel)
• Turkey hunting (with appropriate choke and load)
• General recreational shooting and training

The 24-inch barrel provides enough length for good patterns while remaining easy to maneuver in thick brush and wooded areas where many upland hunts take place.

Quality Construction and Reliable Performance

RETAY has built a strong reputation for producing dependable, well-priced semi-automatic shotguns. The Gordion Compact features the same inertia-driven operating system found in their full-size models, known for its simplicity and reliability. The synthetic stock and forearm are finished in Realtree Legacy camo for both durability and effective concealment. The shotgun is easy to maintain and disassemble, making it a practical choice for younger hunters who are learning proper firearm care. Despite its compact dimensions, the Gordion Compact delivers consistent performance and smooth cycling that shooters have come to expect from the RETAY brand.
