Retay Ace-R Gamekeeper 12 Gauge 28" Semi-Automatic Shotgun RACEGMKPR-28 (UPC 193212036988)

The Retay Ace-R Gamekeeper 12 Gauge 28" Semi-Automatic Shotgun RACEGMKPR-28 (UPC 193212036988) is a high-performance inertia-driven shotgun designed for hunters who want the perfect combination of velocity, pattern performance, and reliable function. Featuring a full-length 28-inch barrel, this model excels at delivering tight, consistent patterns at longer ranges while maintaining the smooth cycling and reduced recoil that have made the Retay Ace-R series popular among serious waterfowl and upland hunters. The durable Gamekeeper camouflage finish provides excellent concealment in the field, making this shotgun a versatile choice for a wide range of hunting applications.

Built on Retay’s proven inertia operating system, the Ace-R Gamekeeper delivers fast, dependable cycling with minimal maintenance. The 28-inch barrel provides increased muzzle velocity and improved pattern density compared to shorter barrels, giving hunters an advantage when targeting waterfowl at extended ranges or late-season pheasants. Whether you’re hunting ducks and geese from a blind, walking fields for pheasants, or pursuing turkeys in the spring, the Retay Ace-R Gamekeeper offers the performance and handling serious hunters demand from a modern 12-gauge semi-automatic.

Advanced Inertia-Driven Operating System

The Retay Ace-R utilizes a clean and efficient inertia-driven action that cycles smoothly and reliably across a wide range of 12-gauge ammunition. Unlike gas-operated shotguns, the inertia system has fewer parts exposed to powder residue, resulting in greater long-term durability and reduced maintenance requirements. This design allows the Ace-R to function consistently with everything from light target loads to heavy magnum waterfowl shells.

The inertia system also helps reduce felt recoil, allowing shooters to maintain better control and sight picture during rapid follow-up shots. This makes the Ace-R Gamekeeper particularly effective during high-volume shooting situations such as dove hunts or waterfowl shoots where multiple shots in quick succession are common.

28-Inch Barrel for Superior Velocity and Patterns

The 28-inch barrel on the Retay Ace-R Gamekeeper provides excellent muzzle velocity and pattern performance. The longer barrel length helps generate higher pellet speeds, resulting in tighter, more effective patterns at longer distances — a major advantage when hunting waterfowl or late-season pheasants. The ventilated rib aids in quick target acquisition while helping to reduce heat mirage during extended shooting sessions.

This model comes with a set of interchangeable choke tubes, allowing hunters to customize their pattern for different species and hunting conditions. Whether you need a more open choke for close-range work or a tighter constriction for longer shots across open water or fields, the Ace-R Gamekeeper can be easily adapted to meet your needs.

Gamekeeper Camouflage and Ergonomic Design

The Gamekeeper model features a rugged synthetic stock and forend finished in a practical camouflage pattern that provides excellent concealment in natural environments. The stock is designed with a comfortable pistol grip and proper length of pull that promotes quick shouldering and consistent cheek weld. The overall balance of the 28-inch barrel configuration makes this shotgun feel lively and responsive in the hands while still offering the stability needed for accurate shooting at longer ranges.

Retay has focused on real-world ergonomics with the Ace-R series. The controls are intuitive and easy to operate, even when wearing gloves. The balanced design allows the shotgun to point naturally, helping hunters acquire targets quickly in dynamic field conditions.
