RETAY Gordion Compact Realtree Legacy 20 Gauge 26" Barrel 3" Inertia Semi-Automatic Shotgun (COM-GOR20LEG-26) UPC 193212047953

The RETAY Gordion Compact Realtree Legacy (Model COM-GOR20LEG-26, UPC 193212047953) is a purpose-built compact 20 gauge semi-automatic shotgun featuring a 26-inch barrel and finished in Realtree Legacy camouflage. Designed specifically for smaller-framed shooters, youth hunters, and those who prefer a lighter, more maneuverable firearm, this inertia-driven shotgun offers the perfect balance of reduced size, soft recoil, and reliable performance. The longer 26-inch barrel provides improved velocity and pattern performance compared to shorter compact models while still maintaining excellent handling characteristics.

Why the RETAY Gordion Compact 20 Gauge Stands Out

The RETAY Gordion Compact was developed to provide a high-quality, feature-rich shotgun sized appropriately for youth and smaller adult shooters. Unlike many entry-level compact shotguns, the Gordion Compact uses the same proven inertia operating system found in RETAY’s full-size models. This results in clean, reliable cycling with minimal maintenance and noticeably softer recoil than gas-operated shotguns. The 26-inch barrel offers a noticeable advantage in muzzle velocity and downrange pattern density over 24-inch compact models, making it more effective for pheasant, dove, and other upland game at moderate distances. The Realtree Legacy camouflage pattern provides excellent concealment across a wide range of hunting environments.

Key Features of the RETAY Gordion Compact Realtree Legacy

• 26-Inch Barrel: Provides increased muzzle velocity and tighter patterns compared to shorter compact barrels.

• Inertia-Driven Operating System: Reliable cycling with fewer moving parts and reduced maintenance.

Designed for Youth and Smaller-Framed Hunters

The RETAY Gordion Compact 20 Gauge is an excellent choice for introducing young hunters to the sport or for adult shooters with smaller builds. The compact stock reduces the length of pull, allowing for proper shouldering, cheek weld, and trigger reach without the gun feeling oversized or unwieldy. Combined with the naturally softer recoil of the 20 gauge, this shotgun helps new shooters develop confidence and good habits. The 26-inch barrel gives young hunters a slight performance advantage over shorter youth models, improving their success rate on game while still remaining easy to carry and swing in the field.

The Realtree Legacy camouflage helps young hunters blend into their surroundings during turkey, small game, and upland bird hunts, adding to the overall hunting experience.

Ideal for Upland and Small Game Hunting

The RETAY Gordion Compact is well-suited for a variety of hunting applications, including:

• Upland bird hunting (pheasant, quail, grouse, dove)
• Small game hunting (rabbit, squirrel)
• Turkey hunting with appropriate loads
• General field use and recreational shooting

The 26-inch barrel provides a good balance between maneuverability in thick cover and the ability to reach out effectively on birds at moderate distances, making it more versatile than shorter compact shotguns.

Quality Construction and Reliable Performance

RETAY has built a strong reputation for producing dependable, well-priced semi-automatic shotguns. The Gordion Compact uses the same inertia-driven operating system found in RETAY’s full-size models, known for its simplicity, reliability, and consistent performance. The synthetic stock and forearm are finished in Realtree Legacy camo for both durability and effective concealment. Despite its compact size, the shotgun maintains excellent balance and smooth cycling across a wide range of ammunition types and temperatures. The inertia system is particularly advantageous for younger shooters because it stays cleaner and requires less maintenance than gas-operated shotguns.
