Why Choose Rio Star Team Evo Platinum Shotshells?
The Rio Star Team Evo Platinum line is engineered for shooters who demand consistent, high-performance ammunition during long days on the range. The 1-1/8 ounce #7.5 load is one of the most versatile options for clay target sports, providing dense patterns at typical competition distances while maintaining enough pellet energy to break targets cleanly. The 1235 fps velocity offers a good balance between speed and recoil, allowing shooters to maintain control during rapid follow-up shots. Rio’s advanced manufacturing processes ensure that each shell performs identically, which is critical for competitive success where even small variations can affect scores.
Ideal Applications
These premium target shells are specifically designed for clay target disciplines including American trap, skeet, and sporting clays. The #7.5 shot size is widely regarded as one of the best all-around choices for breaking clays, offering an ideal combination of pattern density and pellet count. Competitive shooters at all levels—from local club events to national championships—rely on high-quality loads like the Star Team Evo Platinum for consistent results. The reduced recoil compared to heavier field loads also makes these shells comfortable for extended shooting sessions.
