Why Choose Rio Star Team Evo Platinum #8 Shotshells?
The Rio Star Team Evo Platinum line is engineered for shooters who demand consistent, high-performance ammunition during long days of competition. The #8 shot size offers a higher pellet count than #7.5, resulting in denser patterns that are especially effective on smaller or faster-moving targets commonly found in sporting clays. The 1250 fps velocity provides a slightly faster load than many standard target shells while still maintaining comfortable recoil levels for extended shooting sessions. Rio’s advanced manufacturing processes ensure uniform shot size, consistent powder charges, and reliable ignition, giving competitors the confidence that every shell will perform identically.
Ideal Applications
These premium target shells are specifically designed for clay target disciplines including American trap, skeet, and sporting clays. The #8 shot size is particularly popular among sporting clays shooters because of its excellent pattern density at varying distances. Competitive shooters at club, regional, and national levels rely on high-quality loads like the Star Team Evo Platinum for consistent results. The combination of speed and pellet count makes the STPN328 an outstanding choice for shooters who want tight patterns without excessive recoil. Many top competitors choose the Evo Platinum series for its reliable performance and value in the premium target ammunition category.
Performance and Quality
Rio Ammunition is known for producing consistent, high-quality shotshells that perform reliably across a wide range of firearms. The Star Team Evo Platinum shells feature carefully selected components, including uniform #8 shot and clean-burning powder that minimizes fouling during long shooting sessions. This results in tighter, more consistent patterns that help shooters break more targets. The shells are designed to feed and function smoothly in both over-under and semi-automatic shotguns commonly used in competition. Whether you are a serious competitor looking for an edge or a recreational shooter who appreciates premium performance, the Rio Star Team Evo Platinum #8 delivers the quality and consistency needed for success on the range.
