The Ruger 10/22 TALO Light Varmint Target (Model 32032, UPC 736676320325) is a premium, purpose-built rimfire rifle designed for serious varmint hunters and precision shooters. This special TALO Distributors edition features a heavy 20-inch threaded barrel, a comfortable Black Hogue OverMolded (OM) stock, and the reliable 10-round rotary magazine. Built for accuracy and field performance, this model combines the legendary Ruger 10/22 action with a heavier varmint-style barrel contour and suppressor-ready threading, making it an excellent choice for extended-range small game hunting, predator control, and target shooting.
20-Inch Threaded Light Varmint Barrel
This Ruger 10/22 is equipped with a 20-inch Light Varmint Target barrel. The heavier contour of the varmint barrel provides increased rigidity and better heat dissipation during extended shooting sessions, resulting in improved accuracy and consistency. The satin black finish offers a sleek appearance while the 1/2x28 threading at the muzzle makes the rifle immediately suppressor-ready. The longer 20-inch barrel also generates higher velocities with .22 LR ammunition compared to shorter carbine models, making it more effective for varmint hunting at longer distances.
Black Hogue OverMolded Stock
The Black Hogue OverMolded (OM) stock is a major upgrade that enhances both comfort and control. Hogue’s signature rubberized overmolding provides a secure, non-slip grip even in wet or cold conditions. The ergonomic design features a more vertical grip angle and a comfortable forend that reduces shooter fatigue during long days in the field. The Hogue stock also helps dampen recoil, making this rifle pleasant to shoot for extended periods while maintaining a solid, stable shooting platform for improved accuracy.

Ideal for Varmint Hunting and Precision Shooting
The Ruger 10/22 TALO Light Varmint Target is specifically designed for varmint and predator hunting. The heavier 20-inch barrel provides the accuracy and velocity needed for ethical shots on small game at extended ranges. The Hogue OverMolded stock offers a stable shooting platform that is especially beneficial when shooting from field positions or using a bipod. When paired with a quality .22 LR suppressor, this rifle becomes an extremely effective and quiet tool for controlling pests around farms, ranches, or rural properties.
Suppressor-Ready Performance
With its 1/2x28 threaded barrel, this Ruger 10/22 is ready for suppressor use right out of the box. Adding a suppressor significantly reduces noise and recoil, making the rifle more enjoyable to shoot while helping protect hearing during long varmint hunting sessions. The combination of the heavy varmint barrel and Hogue stock makes this model particularly well-suited for suppressed shooting, as the added weight helps stabilize the rifle and improve accuracy.
Why Choose the Ruger 10/22 TALO Light Varmint Target?
The Ruger 10/22 platform has been an American favorite for over 50 years due to its legendary reliability, accuracy, and massive aftermarket support. The Model 32032 stands out as a TALO-exclusive configuration that brings together several desirable features: a longer, heavier varmint barrel, suppressor-ready threading, and the comfortable Hogue OverMolded stock. This factory-built package offers excellent out-of-the-box performance for hunters and shooters who demand more accuracy and comfort than a standard 10/22 provides.
Perfect Balance of Accuracy and Portability
While the 20-inch varmint barrel adds some weight for improved accuracy, the overall design remains practical for field use. The Hogue stock helps distribute weight comfortably, and the rifle’s semi-automatic action allows for fast follow-up shots when needed. This makes the Ruger 10/22 TALO Light Varmint Target an excellent all-around choice for both serious varmint hunters and recreational shooters who want a more capable .22 LR rifle.
