Why Choose the Sons of Liberty Gun Works Broadsword Upper NMD
The Sons of Liberty Gun Works Broadsword Upper (U-BS-L89-556-16-NMD) is an excellent choice for builders who want a high-quality complete upper but prefer to select their own muzzle device. Many complete uppers come with a standard muzzle device that may not suit every shooter’s needs, especially those running suppressors or specific muzzle brakes. The NMD version gives users complete freedom to install the muzzle device that best fits their build and shooting requirements.
The combination of the L89 handguard and 16-inch barrel creates a well-balanced upper that offers excellent velocity and handling characteristics. The L89 handguard provides ample mounting space for lights, grips, and other accessories while maintaining a relatively lightweight profile. Because no muzzle device is installed, this upper is particularly well-suited for those building suppressed firearms, as it allows for the direct installation of various suppressor mounts and adapters without interference.
Additional benefits include:
- Premium L89 M-LOK handguard for strength and modularity
- 16-inch 5.56 NATO barrel for optimal velocity and legal compliance
- No muzzle device installed for maximum customization
- Factory headspaced and assembled for reliability
- Compatible with all standard AR-15 lower receivers
- Backed by Sons of Liberty Gun Works’ reputation for quality
- Ideal for suppressed builds and custom muzzle device selection
