Springfield Armory has done it yet again, rolling out a welcome enhancement in its XD-S lineup of guns. This Springfield XD-S Mod.2 OSP brings all the benefits of the Mod.2 lineup to an optics-ready handgun capable of accepting today's popular red-dot sights.

Each Springfield Armory XD-S Mod.2 OSP handgun is chambered in 9mm and features a short, 3.3-inch barrel. The milled slide is designed to accept a direct-mount optic and is milled low enough to allow for the iron sights to co-witness with a compatible optic. Not only does Springfield give you the option of mounting a red-dot sight, you can even order this pistol with a Crimson Trace dot sight already installed, making it easy to set your self-defense rig up straight from the box.

Each Springfield Armory XD-S Mod.2 OSP pistol ships with two magazines, one 7-round, flush-fit design and an extended, 9-round magazine that provides more gripping surface.
