The Sterling Competition Series Skeet Quick Open 12 Gauge #9.5 7/8 oz is a premium target load specifically developed for competitive skeet shooters who demand both performance and convenience. Each box contains 25 rounds of high-quality 12 gauge ammunition loaded with #9.5 shot and a light 7/8 ounce payload. What sets this load apart is its innovative Quick Open box design, allowing shooters to access shells faster during competitions and practice sessions. This combination of low-recoil performance and rapid-access packaging makes it a favorite among serious clay target competitors.
Why Choose Sterling Competition Series Skeet Quick Open Ammunition?
Sterling Competition Series Skeet Quick Open loads are engineered for the fast-paced environment of competitive skeet shooting. The #9.5 shot size combined with a light 7/8 oz payload produces dense, consistent patterns at the short distances typical in skeet while generating significantly lower recoil than standard target loads. The standout feature of this version is the Quick Open box, which allows shooters to open the carton quickly and efficiently — a valuable advantage when time is limited between rounds or during high-volume practice. This thoughtful design helps competitors stay focused on their shooting rather than struggling with packaging. Sterling’s commitment to quality components ensures reliable ignition, uniform velocities, and clean-burning performance round after round.

Performance and Build Quality
The Sterling Competition Series Skeet Quick Open ammunition is manufactured using premium components to meet the high standards of competitive shooters. The #9.5 shot size provides an excellent balance of pattern density and pellet count, making it highly effective on fast-moving skeet targets. The reduced 7/8 ounce payload significantly lowers felt recoil compared to heavier loads, allowing shooters to maintain better control and recover faster between shots. The Quick Open box feature is especially beneficial during competitions, where every second matters. Sterling uses high-quality hulls, reliable primers, and clean-burning powder to ensure smooth operation and minimal fouling in a wide variety of 12 gauge shotguns. This load is trusted by both amateur and professional skeet shooters who value consistency, low recoil, and convenient packaging.
