Why Choose Sterling Competition Series Trap Soft?
Sterling’s Competition Series Trap Soft loads are engineered to provide dependable performance for trap, skeet, and sporting clays shooters. The use of standard soft shot makes these shells an economical option for extended practice while still delivering the pattern quality needed to break targets consistently. The 7/8 ounce payload of #7.5 shot offers a great balance between pattern density and low recoil, allowing shooters to maintain focus and accuracy during long shooting sessions. This load is especially popular among recreational shooters, beginners, and competitors who shoot high volumes of ammunition during training. With its consistent velocity and reliable ignition, Sterling Trap Soft ammunition helps shooters develop and maintain proper technique without the higher cost associated with premium hardened shot loads.

Performance and Build Quality
The STERLING COMPETITION SERIES TRAP SOFT 12GA #7.5 7/8 OZ is manufactured using quality components to ensure reliable function and consistent results. While the shot is not hardened like premium competition loads, it still provides good pattern density suitable for most trap shooting scenarios. The lighter 7/8 ounce payload reduces felt recoil compared to heavier 1 oz or 1⅛ oz loads, making it easier for shooters to stay on target through high round counts. This makes the Trap Soft line an excellent choice for practice, youth shooters, and anyone looking to improve their skills without excessive fatigue. Sterling maintains strict quality control standards to ensure each shell performs consistently, helping shooters focus on their technique rather than worrying about ammunition variability.
