Compact Design with Classic 1873 Features
The Taylors & Company 1873 Compact Carbine stands out for its reduced barrel length and overall size. The 16.125-inch barrel makes the rifle significantly shorter and lighter than standard 1873 models, improving handling in tight spaces and during fast-paced shooting scenarios. Despite its compact size, the rifle maintains the smooth lever action and reliable feeding that the 1873 platform is famous for. The 9-round tubular magazine provides ample capacity for extended shooting sessions without frequent reloading.
The rifle features a handsome wood stock and forearm that provide a traditional look and comfortable feel. The straight-grip stock and classic lever-action design give this carbine an authentic Western appearance that appeals to both historical firearms enthusiasts and modern shooters. The compact dimensions make it particularly well-suited for home defense, vehicle storage, and cowboy action competitions where quick handling is essential.
