Featuring a 28-inch barrel and multi-choke system, this model is engineered to deliver consistent patterns and reliable cycling across a wide range of ammunition, making it an excellent choice for duck hunting, goose hunting, and general field use. The Element 2 DUX offers shooters a modern, feature-rich semi-automatic shotgun at a competitive price point.

Weatherby’s Element series has earned praise for its inertia operating system, which provides clean, reliable function with minimal maintenance. The DUX model builds on this foundation with waterfowl-specific enhancements and a durable finish suited for harsh outdoor conditions.

Inertia-Driven Semi-Automatic Action

The Weatherby Element 2 DUX utilizes an inertia-driven operating system that delivers fast, reliable cycling with reduced recoil compared to many gas-operated shotguns. This system is less sensitive to dirt and fouling, making it ideal for extended hunts in wet, muddy, or dusty environments. The inertia action also contributes to the shotgun’s clean-burning performance and long-term reliability, even when using a variety of 2¾" and 3" shells.

28-Inch Barrel with Multi-Choke System

The 28-inch barrel on the Element 2 DUX provides an excellent balance between swing speed and pattern performance. This length is ideal for waterfowl hunting, offering good reach while remaining maneuverable in blinds and boats. The multi-choke system allows shooters to quickly change constriction based on the type of hunting or target distance, making the shotgun highly versatile for ducks, geese, doves, and upland birds.

Designed for Waterfowl and Field Use

The “DUX” designation indicates this model is optimized for waterfowl hunting. It features a durable finish that resists corrosion and wear in wet conditions. The Element 2 DUX is built to handle the demands of serious waterfowlers who need a shotgun that performs reliably in rain, mud, and cold weather. Its lightweight design also makes it comfortable to carry during long hunts.

Reduced Recoil and Smooth Operation

Thanks to its inertia operating system, the Weatherby Element 2 DUX delivers noticeably softer recoil than many competing semi-automatic shotguns. This makes it more comfortable to shoot during high-volume days in the field or at the clay range. The smooth cycling and crisp trigger contribute to faster follow-up shots and improved overall shooting experience.
