Why Anglers Choose the Zoom Super Fluke 5" Houdini
The Zoom Super Fluke 5" Houdini has become a go-to color for many tournament anglers and serious weekend fishermen, especially when fishing clear water or heavily pressured fisheries. The Houdini color offers a unique combination of subtlety and flash that allows it to blend in with the surroundings while still being visible to bass. This “disappearing” effect often triggers strikes from fish that have seen every other color. The Super Fluke’s slender profile and realistic action make it deadly when bass are feeding on shad, bream, or other baitfish. Anglers frequently use it weightless around shallow cover, on a jig head for deeper water, or as a trailer on a spinnerbait or chatterbait. Its durability allows multiple fish to be caught on a single bait, making it both effective and economical. The Houdini color performs particularly well during the spring and fall when water clarity improves and bass become more selective.

Ideal Applications for the Zoom Super Fluke 5" Houdini
The Zoom Super Fluke 5" Houdini excels in a variety of fishing situations, particularly when water clarity is good to moderate. It is a favorite choice when bass are feeding on shad or other baitfish in clear lakes, reservoirs, and rivers. Anglers often fish it around grass lines, points, docks, rocky banks, and shallow flats. The Houdini color is especially effective during the post-spawn and fall periods when bass become more selective. Many anglers rig it weightless for a natural fall or add a small split shot or jig head when fishing deeper water. It also makes an outstanding trailer on a spinnerbait or chatterbait, adding extra flash and action. Because of its subtle yet effective presentation, the Houdini Super Fluke is a go-to lure when fish are finicky or heavily pressured.
This lure is especially popular among tournament bass anglers, clear-water specialists, and anyone looking for a high-quality 5-inch soft plastic fluke in the proven Houdini color.
